How to read a starting price against a range
“From $4,000” and “$8,000–18,000” are not competing claims — they describe different case sizes. A hairline case of 800–1,200 grafts can land near a starting price; a full frontal-third FUE case of 2,000+ grafts lands inside the higher range. The variable is your graft count, and the graft count should come from a physician's diagnosis — the ISHRS specifically warns against flat offers to harvest “as many grafts as possible” for one price.

Because the total is graft count × per-graft rate, and graft count varies four-fold between a hairline touch-up and a full frontal restoration.
