Hair transplant cost in Kansas City: what is actually knowable
None of the practices in our Kansas City comparison publishes a transplant price. Buchwach Goldstein Hair Restoration Clinic references payment plans; a total is quoted only after evaluation. Kansas City is also a both-techniques market — the same practice states its physicians perform FUT as well as FUE — which matters for cost, because the technique typically moves the per-graft rate. Comparing here means collecting written estimates that separate technique, graft count, rate and bundling.
A payment plan is an answer to a different question
“Payment plans available” tells you the practice will split the total into months. It does not tell you the total. Two clinics can offer identical monthly amounts over different terms and differ by thousands of dollars in what you ultimately pay. Settle the price first — in writing — and only then discuss how to spread it. If financing carries interest, ask for the total cost of credit as its own number.

The four parts of a comparable estimate
- Technique — FUT and FUE quotes are different products; get both if the practice offers both.
- Graft count — set by a physician's evaluation. The ISHRS warns against counts set by packages or sales staff.
- Rate or total — per-graft rate × count, or a total you can divide by the count.
- Bundling — anesthesia, follow-up visits, PRP. This is where two identical-looking quotes diverge.
