FUE hair transplant in Nashville: five practices, three models of who operates
Every practice in our Nashville comparison offers FUE — what differs is who performs it, and unusually for this industry, the differences are stated publicly: one practice says a board-certified doctor performs every procedure, another describes NeoGraft technicians under physician supervision, a third describes a support team of technicians and assistants. Same technique name, three different products. No one publishes an FUE price.
What each practice states about its FUE
| Practice | FUE offering | Who performs — their words |
|---|---|---|
| We Grow Hair (PAI Medical Group) | FUE among methods | “Every procedure is performed by a board-certified medical doctor” |
| Nashville Hair Doctor | NeoGraft FUE | “NeoGraft Master Technicians”, supervised by board-certified plastic surgeons |
| Nova Medical (Nashville) | FUE and FUT | “A dedicated in-house team of technicians, nurses, and surgical assistants” supports the procedure |
| Higdon Plastic Surgery | FUE and FUT | Not specified on the surgical page |
| Harmony Facial Plastic Surgery | Surgical restoration incl. strip; FUE per consult | Page describes the physician performing steps personally |
All rows from each practice's own pages, checked August 2026; full sourced entries on the Nashville comparison. If a practice updates its pages, tell us and we will correct this table.
Three models, one question set
Doctor-performed, technician-performed under supervision, and team-supported are all legal models — the ISHRS position is simply that donor harvesting and recipient-site creation should be done by a licensed physician or physician extender, and that patients should be told exactly who does what. In Nashville the marketing does much of that disclosure for you; the consultation only needs to close the gap: who harvests, who makes recipient sites, who places grafts — on my case, by name.
Price: the number nobody publishes here
Nashville's FUE market advertises financing, not prices — details and the translation into real numbers are on the Nashville cost page. The technique-choice logic (why FUE prices above FUT, when strip still makes sense) is in our FUE vs FUT guide.
Nashville FUE questions
Who actually performs FUE in Nashville — doctors or technicians?
It depends on the practice, and the differences are stated publicly. We Grow Hair states every procedure is performed by a board-certified medical doctor. Nashville Hair Doctor describes “NeoGraft Master Technicians” working under physician supervision. Nova Medical describes a team of technicians, nurses and assistants supporting the procedure. All three models are legal; they are different products at similar-looking prices, which is why the who-performs question comes first.
What does FUE cost in Nashville?
No Nashville practice publishes an FUE price — the market shows financing instead ($259/month at one practice, $95 bi-weekly at another). For calibration: the one published per-graft FUE rate in our ten-city index is $6 (Raleigh market), and the one published FUE case range is $8,000–18,000 (Charlotte). Ask for the per-graft rate and estimated total in writing.
Is NeoGraft FUE different from regular FUE?
NeoGraft is a harvesting device that performs FUE — the technique is the same. The device standardizes extraction mechanics; it does not design the hairline or place grafts. Two Nashville-market practices name NeoGraft specifically; the variable that matters is whose hands run the case.
